Will we get GB3HU back once GB7HU has moved to its new frequencies, i understand GB7HU borrowed its frequencies until it got clearance. GB3HU worked much better in to Bridlington than GB3HS does and didnt seem to have any special users on it.

There was no activity on GB3HU and it did not justify its running costs.

When GB7HU goes to 9MHz spacing we'll look at it again but I'm not convinced there's a need for 70cm analogue.

Justification for repeaters seems to be very arbitary. Is the EYRG a democratic group with meetings and voting or are descisions made by individuals

Yes, the group is democratic and all paid up members are entitled to vote at the annual meetings. The group is run for the benefit of the members by a committee elected at those meetings. This includes managing the not insignificant costs of running repeaters which some users seem to take for granted. Every repeater is obliged to have insurance to which must be added electricity costs, maintenance costs etc. Those costs have to be balanced against the fact that GB3HU would go unused for days on end so it's the same as the bands; use them or lose them!!

Yes that's a good War Cry! Use them or loose them, then of course it down to subscriptions! and other contributions.

...without which there would be no repeaters at all. No-one should expect the committee to fund the repeaters out of their own pockets.

However, EYRG Committee members have been, and continue to be very generous allowing the group to do things that it would not be able to achieve through subscriptions alone.

Whats the chance of putting a service status page on the Website
each of the repeaters with status , uptime downtime and problem reports
all on one easy view page.

Sorry to hear you are having problems with the E91. For GB7HU you need a -9MHz split for the duplex setting and the output frequency is 439.4875MHz. That means the Tx frequency you should be using is 431.4875MHz and of course the radio should be set to DV mode.
Do you have the programming cable / software for the E91?
If you wish you can email me direct: clive<at>hesh.co.uk

    RPT1:
    RPT2:
    MY:
    For icom-e91

Please confirm that I set the frequency to 439.4875
I set offset at -9mhz, now shows 430.4875
